The clan was (5) five years old and had a difficult time growing and a new direction was needed. The founders adjourned from day to day until a quorum of three was obtained on May 25, 2003. Through discussion and debate it became clear by mid-June that, rather than continue on the existing path, the founders would draft an entirely new frame of government. All through the summer, in closed sessions, the founders debated, and redrafted the new Constitution. Among the chief points at issue were how to grow the clan and keep members who did not want to move on to new games. To allow for growth it was decided that game teams would be formed which would help the clan grow but also retain the existing membership. The work of many hours, the Clan [BGE] Constitution stands as a model of optimal statesmanship and the art of looking forward.
The founders convened in Memphis, TN on June 29, 2003, to formalize the Clan [BGE] Constitution.
